We have some beautiful crystal glass trophies to award to our top finishers across a range of events. The exact trophies to be awarded and the rules of competition are detailed below. We encourage all the gazelles aiming to be at the pointy end on race day to review this information carefully.

Merit Awards

Rotorua Half Marathon

  • Top 3 male & female runners each receive a glass trophy
  • Top 3 male & female competitive walkers each receive a glass trophy

Brooks 10K Classic

  • Top 3 male & female runners each receive a glass trophy
  • Top 3 male & female competitive walkers each receive a glass trophy

Community 4K

  • Top 3 overall athletes each receive a glass trophy

2K Kids’ Dash

  • Top 3 aged 7 & Under each receive a glass trophy
  • Top 3 aged 8 & Over each receive a glass trophy

Competition Rules

  • Merit Awards will be based on Gun Time (i.e. the order of the athletes across the finish line)
  • Official results published will be by Net Time (the time difference between the athlete crossing the start line and the finish line)
  • Athletes registered in the Competitive Walk must walk at all times
  • In the unlikely event of any dispute, the Race Director’s decision shall be final
